The slow pandemic

The slow pandemic

Many of you might be rushing to draw a conclusive statement from the aforementioned title of this article or may be having a fanatic grin of assurance by this point, but let me disappoint you halfheartedly, this won’t be something like of your daily dose of fake news.
Yes, that’s right, “Daily dose of fake news”. The staggering aftereffects of technological tsunami which had us helplessly drowned in gigantic world of “next level dilemma” and “conspiracy theories” where in one hand we are watching almost live graciously on the social media that people from many parts of developing world are not adhering the restrictions placed by their states to slow down the infection rate of COVID-19 by just not being enlightened enough to comprehend this never happened crisis, Or in other hand, across the big blue oceans people are taking up the streets to condemn this crisis as “fake diseases invented by neoliberals to increase their control over the daily life of general law abiding people”. We can rage and stage full fledged intellectual war among populist and radical thinkers but mostly this strange time is providing us finally some time to sit in the corner and examine what had been done in the past by our profane state to tackle this situation.
I would say, amidst of this strange time, somehow it enabled us to take deep dive in our understanding of surroundings. The time has come to self reflect, may be that could add up an extra notch in our intellectual atmosphere.
No one has to take wild guess about developing countries incompetencies regarding handling the situation, sit in front of your funny little “mad box” which somehow elevated its efficiencies by extending its operational limit by frequent iterations over the years, yes i am talking about your laptop, simply just search on google “national budget percentage on health/ education sectors” for your own country and compare that with countries which has low casualties from this crisis, what you would find, must be amazing for you or satisfactory for you. Then may be you would be mind mapping the whole crisis by drawing a concrete correlation. At this point you would be taking a long breath of despair and would be indicting your state as an ineffective organisations (people who had found out their government took below par consideration to level up their health and education sector).
Meanwhile, Why does it matter? because individuals belonging to outcome of these two sectors are actually fighting in the front line against this pandemic.
